Fourth week back to work and I'm full of cold. Typical, as soon as I go back to that place its one cold after another, sore throats etc. My neck is still hurting since I had the car crash and I mentioned at work that I was going to leave. After being persuaded not to be so hasty and try to get my neck better with deep massage and being promised help with the heavy lifting I decided to stay. Which is good cos I like my job, but..... all hell has broken loose! The caretaker has been asked to help with the tables, has agreed but totally not happy about it and complaining to E who couldnt resist telling me what she has said. I thought about it and told E that the caretaker should talk to the head-teacher about it directly and tell her she's not happy doing that. More comments have been passed today as to who said what and who isn't happy with the situation. For goodness sake, can't they just speak up and say instead of moaning behind people's backs.

Anyway for now I'm concentrating on the deep tissue neck, shoulder and back massages which bloody hurt! I went for the first time last Friday. She was very nice but it wasn't soothing and relaxing like I thought it would be, no drifting off to sleep. At some points it was pure agony, but apparantly I'm all knotted up and it all needs manipulating back into place, so I shall suffer next Friday again til I'm sorted out.

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on LiveJournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

My gorgeous cat disappeared a week last wednesday, i kept hoping every day she would come back. I've been told by someone who knows someone else that they had seen a white and tabby cat lying dead and bleeding at the side of a road not far from my house, last wednesday, the same morning that mine didn't come home. The woman who took the cat away was certain that it had been my cat :(
She was only two years old.

Don't quit when the tide is lowest,
For it's just about to turn;

Don't quit over the doubts and questions,
For there's something you may learn.

Don't quit when the night is darkest,
For it's just a while 'til dawn;

Don't quit when you've run the furthest,
For the race is almost won.

Don't quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;

Don't quit, for you're not a faliure
Until you fail to try.

How fantastic is it that Lordi won the eurovision song contest last night? :D

http://www.hs.fi/kuvat/iso_webkuva/1135219974320.jpeg

"How weird is this? How cool is this?" said lead singer Mr Lordi, at a press conference minutes after his hard rock band Lordi had won the 51st Eurovision Song Contest. "Think about it, a rock band just won a pop song contest. This is weird, strange, interesting. This is for all rock fans, hard rock fans, metal fans and Kiss fans."

The world is a-changing, when monster rock wins the eurovision song contest! :D

Brilliant!

I have had such a lazy day today, apart from going to work I've done absolutely nothing apart from sit in front of this pc flitting around the internet. I seem to have days like that, just no energy at all. But sometimes I think it does you good and it recharges your batteries. Maybe I'll get lots done later or have a surge of energy tomorrow, but for now I'm enjoying doing nothing.

Its funny how life can change, you go along for ages thinking this is it then suddenly... it isn't any more. But change is all around us, all the time, its uncontrollable. It happens every day, even small things that we can't see. Everything is constantly changing, the seasons, the people who we love. Life cannot stay the same forever. Yet we fight it just the same.

javascript hit counter
We fight change because it is the unknown; and we fight the unknown because we are scared. Scared of change and scared of the unknown. What is known to us makes us feel safe - our safe zone, we know our boundaries. We know where we are and because we know this we feel in control, of both our lives and ourselves. When change occurs it threatens our stability and our whole sense of the world. We feel out of control - lost and empty.

But change is inevitable.

Instead of being frightened of change, we should perhaps welcome it. Allow our destiny to unfold, instead of trying desperately to hold on to things as they are.

Its FREEEEZING again! Yes its frosty outside, only a teaser though, no snow but its cold enough for it. Yesterday I walked across the icy garden with the grass crunching under my boots and felt strangely cheated..no white stuff.

I need a vacation...
somewhere hot and sunny and peaceful, where i can just lie on a beach - soft white sand, sparkling blue sea, and just sleeeeeeep! ah, that would be heaven! I'm so tired, sore throat,
I had such a restless nights sleep last night, you know where you wake up in the morning and think did I sleep? loads of weird dreams but cant remember any of them, and where youre just as tired on waking as you were when you went to bed?
heh...welcome to my world!

So Terri Schiavo's parents have made another emotional appeal, and really who can blame them but 15 years of lying in a vegetative state is no life at all, how many more years would she have to endure like that? you wouldnt keep an animal alive like that, i read that she is only hours away from death, bleeding from her eyes and tongue, its absolutely horrendous...which ever way, but at least her suffering would be over, let her die. I really think in this case and similar cases assisted euthanasia should be allowed but then there comes the problem of where to draw the line, allow it once and it sets a precedent, i watched a documentary last year about a man who went abroad to die as his suffering wasnt allowed to end in this country. There are always the cases of people waking up from comas ten or twenty years later much to the relief and joy of their families, but i think that is different, allow euthanasia for extreme cases like terri schiavro where there is no hope of ever leading a normal life again, where she would just continue to lie in that state until she died of old age or any number of other related complications.
